Android savegame backup (Question)

Postby BCuser » Sat Dec 01, 2012 7:22 pm

Rubicon Chaps,
I've found that the info Steve has given for Migration has worked, but possibly not completely.

Any clues to the following :-
Following Steve's instructions (Android savegame backup), I can migrate from 1 device to another, in this case Nexus7

Migration appears not to work, but on deeper inspection, it appears to partially work (Or perhaps I misunderstand what the objectives is)

On new devices,
What I have available/working is : Maps1, Maps2, Customise Flags etc (They migrate over, so good news there)
What I don't seem to have is : Campaign progress, War Chest (not such good news)

Basically, I bought everything for 1 device,
It's odd that I do not even get the opportunity to re-Purchase the War Chest option on new device

Does that make any sense?
IS there another step that I require to do to make Campaign & War Chest available?

Thanks

That's particularly weird, no reason for it do half a job as at least in the case of the iap's they're all the same.

Maybe it failed halfway through or something.

Yea, It is odd, & that's kinda my problem.
I've tried the migration to 2 different devices, both experience the same thing (i.e 1/2 of my account data is 'migrated').

Obviously, On the original system Uploads & Downloads the Campaign Progress/War Chest status happily,
as I wouldn't be able to 'Resume' exactly where I was, when I return to continue etc

I have tried multiple times on 1 device,
but only once on the Nexus7. (I'll re-do that in 10 mins & see what happens)

Any thoughts? Any Debug switches that I can switch-on for diagnostics?
Puzzled?

I'm not familiar with Android enough to help further. I would recommend contacting gbwgand@rubicondev.com to talk through the issues.

It's "us" but not "me". Inqurires through that official support address end up on the desk of our lead Android engineer, Steve.
